All Hallow's 'een Happiness
So yesterday Amy, myself, Greg, Mona, the suckface duo, and our friend Steve all went to Greg's pastor's house for a "harvest Party." We all went costumed. Greg went as "emoth," a cross between emo and goth, Mona went straight goth (she did it well, I might add!), I went as Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King, AMy went as Mother Nature, Steve went as Christian Commando, and Emmit and Ellie went as the most firghtening thing imaginable...themselves. I kid! I kid because I love....to mock them.
Anyway, The festivities were very uh...festive. There was a party sub, pizza, munchies, a pool table, a pinball machine, and other fun things. It was mostly peopel from Collej, the college group at Evangel Temple, but I knew some CBC folk that were present. The college pastor is actually an old freind of mine from my early days at CBC. His wife and he were dressed as pirates. Very cool. My friends Will and Jeremiah came dressed as what I callwed "hellevangelists." They had weird black and red face makeup with the words "truth" and "life" written on their respective heads backwards. They were dressed in black suit jackets with red pants and red ties. IT was very cool. AMy won the Indiv. Female Costume contest and I won Indiv. Male Costume. I'm pretty sure that Will and Miah won the group contest.
So we were all ready to be leaving when Jason, the college pastor, comes downstairs and said, "Hey, there's an Isuzu Rodeo outside that's smoking." Yeah, that was Mona's vehicle. Apparently she has an exhaust leak. It was kinda bad since Greg, Steve, Emmit, and Ellie needed to be back right away for a ministry downtown handing out blankets and hot chocolate at The Victory Mission. They ended up jsut cancelling the ministry since we didn't even leave Pastor's house until they needed to BE there.
So Greg and Mona dropped us off at CBC and we went home to wash of our makeup and then Mona, Greg, and Stve came over to watch the MST3K version of The Beast of Yucca Flats.
THe Beast...walking...across the desert.....the movie...with no dialogue...onscreen. Only narration....and pauses....and peiople talking....but off-camera.
I was ready to stab something into my eye and swirl it around. It was that bad. But the riffs made it great. I would not advise watching thias movie alone or without the MST3K adaptions. As Tom Servo said, "Clinical Depression didn't exist before this movie was made..."

Currently Playing: eeenooootthing!
Currently Listening to: Leave Here A Stranger -Starflyer 59
Currently Reading: Dante's Inferno (or I'm supposed to be...)
Okay so it's been about three weeks since I last felt the need to update this thing. I wish I had some excuse other than sheer laziness and a lack of desire to dredge up the events that I can just barely recall, but I don't. So here's a brief synopsis of the last three weeks:
* I beat Kingdom Hearts, but not Sephiroth, so I'm still trying to accomplish that
* Amy has scheduled two more showers. One is this Sunday, the other next Wednesday
* I persuaded my boss to give me more hours in the form of working a double shift on Fridays.
* Greg bought both Vol. 1 and 2 of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and we watched most of the episodes
* Amy, myself, Greg, Mona, and another couple went down to Branson last weekend for fall break
* We watched Starsky and Hutch, several eps of ATHF, a MST3K, and attempted to watch Matrix Reloaded but it was acting gay and didn't work.
* The other couple decided to go for a late night stroll and made us worry when they weren't back for like 3 hours. They insist that NOTHING HAPPENED! Well, I don't know them well enough to judge so I'll take their word (yeah right).
* I updated my xanga site www.xanga.com/KrayZeeDizz
* Greg, Mona, Amy and I played Scene-It and I pwn3d.
* We met Ryan, AKA Called2Serve from the Seven at Steak n Shake Tuesday
* Greg and I created a new genre of music entitled "em-oth"
* Our friend Kaler then created "ska-th"
* I gave plasma today
* I updated this site
Ther you have it in nice manageable chunks. Now I will share with you one of the songs I am currently in love with called "Things Like This Help Me" by Starflyer 59.
Come out in clothes you like
And tell me of all of the bands you fight
And if you look around
You stay up late when you fix all the sounds
Come out and pick a night
A night when you lose your life
Because I look around
I'll stay up late when you fix all the sounds
These are good times
Things like this help me
Through all of the long long nights
These are good times
Things like this help me
Come out in clothes you like
And tell me of all of the bands you fight
And if you look around
You stay up late when you fix all the sounds
These are good times
Things like this help me
Through all of the long long nights
These are good times
Things like this help me

Baby Shower, Barbeque, and Bastion BAshing
So Amy had her baby shower yesterday. I was there. I was working the night shift for a friend so I could go to a barbeque my old RA was having Thursday night. Then he asked me to do it again Friday. I agreed since it meant I could be at the shower. The highlight of the shower for me was meeting AMy's friend Heather, who I was supposed to meet about five other times and things fell through. She's way cool and we totally need to hang out more if our schedules permit. I'm thinking a movie night where we watch Labyrinth and Monty Python. Yeah, she's really cool. Anyway, we played this game involving tasting baby food and guessing what it was. I won with 5 out of 8 answers correct. The thign that surprised me was that the most nasty tasting one of them all was peaches. it looked, smelled and probably tastes just like bat vomit, so that's what I put down. I was going to nap while the shower was going on, but I couldn't fall asleep and I like being a part of things. We got all kinds of cool stuff such as Diaper genie liners, a ton of baby clothes, diapers, a basket full of practicals, baby laundry detergent, a pac and play (yes, mom..ANOTHER ONE!), sheets, blankets, pj's, a gift cerificate, and plenty more... And the great thing is, WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER ONE TOO!!! So more fun and presents to come.
As I mentioned before, my old RA had a barbeque for all the guys who were on his hall that year. Of the 20 guys who lived on Horton Ground East two years ago, six showed up. Some were graduated, some were busy, some moved to Welch (a different dorm) and cut off all communication with the outside world, and others had dropped out. But it was still fun. We were waiting for about a half hour for Darwyn the Can"eh"dian to bring the grill and then realized we didn't need it after all. We had burgers and hot dogs and caught up on some stuff. Amy felt weird since she was the only female present, but it was all good. As usual, Greg and I bantered about Kingdom Hearts and my progress thus far (I was at level 69 and trying desperately to beat the HAdes Cup Tourney). After the barbeque, Amy and I went home and went to sleep.
As for my Kingdom Hearts progress, I got quite a bit accomplished while working the night shift two days in a row. I decided to put this at the end so if people are not interested, they don't have to read through to get to the good stuff. Anyway, I beat Hollow Bastion on Wednesday, and thursday night at work (well, okay, Friday morning, whatever) I finally beat the Hades Cup tournament. I spent a lot of time going back and finding the extra items from each world that I hadn't gotten before such as unlocking all the Trinity Marks and getting the items that required special abilities.
Friday after I had beaten The Hades Cup, I attempted to beat it with Sora alone. After much frustration and rethinking of strategy, I did it. I also beat the Hidden Boss, Ice Titan and got a major level up! Actually since the Gold Cup withthe Ice Titan and the Platinum Cup where you battle Sephiroth from FF7 both were just question marks, I clicked on the wrong one first. I saw the Sephiroth intro and theme music and was like "AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! OH DEAR GOD!!! HELP ME!!!" I died very quickly and corrected my mistake. After taking on the Ice Titan, I focused my energy on going to the last level, End of The World and leveling up for the fianl battles against Ansem. There are a few places inthis level where you can board your ship and go elsewhere which is good since I needed to go all over to kill the enemies I needed to get thr items required for synthesizing my Ultima Weapon. It took nearly three hours to gather all the items I needed, BUT I GOT IT!!!!! After attaining the most awesome of Keyblades, acquiring Donald ultimate weapon, Save The Queen, and getting allthe seven Spell Arts, I felt ready to complete the time trials in the Coliseum. I finished The Pegasus, and came very close to beating the time trials in the Hercules and Hades Cups. I decided to shelf that plan temporarily and sought out the Hidden Bosses to get some major power-ups. I fougth Kurt Zisa, the ultimate weapon of Agrabah, and after two failed attempts, he tasted my Pwnage!!! I tried to fight the Phantom, but he cast the spell onthe clock which would count downt he destruction of my characters and I wasn't able to keep recasting Stop enough and fight the Phantom at the same time. In short, he flattened me. Well at that point I had to got to work so that's where it sits now. My current status: Level 82, 13MP, soemwhere around 60 strength, and about 70 AP. And I have the One Weapon...TO RULE THEM ALL!!!
For a look inside the "To Rule Them All" joke go here: http://legendaryfrog.com/lite/movies.htm and look for One Ring: Special Edition and One Ring To Rule Them All Part 2. Also check out THe MAtrix HAs You, The MAtrix Still Has You, and the Final Fantasy Tributes. Yes,this is the same guy who did the Chocobo Robo Voice Flash video about Final Fantasy. Enjoy.

G-Mails, Jedis and more!!!
So about this time last week, I set up a new e-mail account with G-mail, the e-mail server that Google.com runs. I had received access to Gmail through an invitation from my friend Greg, AKA http://thenorthsea.blogdrive.com GMail is such a great email location! They give you 1000 MB of space, the e-mails are kind of set up like a message board so you can keep convos going back and forth without forgetting what the person was talking about, and you never have to delete e-mails since you have so much space! The only thing is that they offer it by invitation only. So you have to know someone on the inside...WELL FEAR NOT FRIENDS!!! You now have an insider! If you are sick of MSN Hotmail's measly 3MB free space and their incessant pesterings to upgrade to the $19.95 a month package, or Excite's 125 MB is still a bit skimpy for you huge file downloaders, or perhaps you are sick of all the spam that hits your AOL box every day, then send me an e-mail at KrayZeeDizz@gmail.com and I'll hook you up! I only have 6 invites at the time, so first come first serve. It's really a great concept from one of the greatest companies onthe net. I swear those Google guys are gonna take over the world!! And when they do, I want to be on their good side. Seriously, there's nothing Google can't do now. They have their own shopping searchl called Froogle where you can get what you need at a low price, I'm sure you're all familiar with their awesome search engine, plus now their e-mail service which blows anything else I've seen out of the water.
The following was a paid advertisement for GMail. The views above in no way reflect the views of the staff of blogdrive.com or crazydizzle...thank you for watching...
Anyway, the last week's been pretty cool. I beat the junk out of Hercules and CLoud inthe Hercules Cup on Kingdom Hearts and got two new Keyblades, The Metal Chocobo and the Olympia. I haven't gone to Hollow Bastion yet, but that will be my next stop.
Sunday was my last week teaching K-1 Sunday school and I had the new teacher observe and help me out a bit. There was a BBQ for the children's workers after church out at Fellows Lake and it was a great time for fellowship and sharing the vision of the church.
Monday night at about 11pm, my friend Jesse and I went to buy the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD. I wasn't going to buy it, but Jesse chipped in half for me and so I reluctantly (yeah, right) accepted his graciousness and bought it. HA HA DAD!!! I GOT IT BEFORE YOU!!!! I have to say that the changes I've seen so far aren't that bad. I've only watched Episode IV and about the first hour of Empire, but the changes were slight and really cleaned up some stuff. Lucas of course left the stormtrooper hitting his head in the movie, but he made the lightsaber battle between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader a bit better. There were a couple shots where they forgot to make the lightsabers glow at certain angles and they were fixed. Also, if you watch the original or Special edition released before, there's a scene as the blast doors close where you see darth Vader and his lightsaber is glowign but it's white, not red. Lucas also fixed that. He did have Greedo and Han shooting at the same time inthe bar and I was a bit annoyed that he got that anal about it, but I understand why he did. If Han shot first, he looks like a cold-blooded killer. If Greedo shot first, it makes HAn look like he didn't expect it. If they both shoot at the same time, it's perfect. Lucas also cleaned up the image of Jabba inthe scene in A New Hope jsut after the aforementioned gunfight. The DVD set also comes with a four hour disc on the behind the scene of the trilogy. Like I said, I haven't had the chance to view it all yet, but I have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time.
In other news, I went through what I hope is the last of the rigamarole for gettign my student loans accessible. I called Nelnet (they switched me from MOHELA, but that's another story) and tried to figure out when it would be coming. What I hadn't anticipated or liked very much is that they are splitting my loan payment into two disbursements. One now, and one at the end of October. WHICH MEANS I CAN'T ACCESS MY MONEY UNTIL NOVEMBER!!! You see the first disbursement is just under what my tuition costs total up to, so the second disbursement is what I need to get the Kizzash! And I have to wait until Halloween practically to get it. Oh well...I was going to get new glasses, but I guess it'll have to wait. Even though I can barely see since my current ones are so scratched up. I'm also down to one pair of contacts which I'm saving for HAlloween. Face makeup and glasses don't work well together. So that's been very frustrating. I was expectign the whole of my money to be here this week and now I have to wait another month to get any access...this sucks hardcore. So, be praying for Amy and me to get through this and not burn down the Nelnet headquarters. More fun and exciting news to come... IN THE FUTURE!!! (greg will get that)

I thought I'd do soemthing different for all your faithful followers. Well, first I gotta give the obligatory status report on Kingdom Hearts. Last Saturday, I worked the midnight shift and brought the PS2 with me. well, I got about 2/3 of the way through Atlantica (2 hours worth of playing!) when the PS2 plug falls out of the outlet. I have no clue HOW this happened but I hadn't saved since starting the level and I cried like a girl. After that, there was no way I was gonna jsut re-do it! At least not right then. I waited until Monday then went to town on it. Ursula was a pain inthe groin to fight. Especially in her Ginormous form where you gotta beat the crap out of her head and she tries to bite you. It's funny, she'll bite you and then say, "EEEEWWW, not very tasty!" It was so hard to get tot he back of her head since she keeps turning around to face you. Eventually I beat her though and got the Crabclaw keychain. I then busted my way about halfway through Halloween TOwn before quitting for lunch. I beat HAlloween Town on Tuesday or Wednesday, can't remember off hand. I think it was Wednesday.Well, partially Wednesday. I played from 11:30 Tuesday to 1:00 Wednesday morning. I beat the snot out of Oogie Boogie, who was more annoying than hard to beat. After that and gaining the Pumkinhead keychain, I decided to head back to the Olympus Coliseum and compete in the Pegasus Cup. I beat it with a bit of difficulty. Mostly coming from facing off against Leon. Yuffie was no prob really, EXCEPT THAT SHE KEPT HEALING HERSELF AND LEON!!! Yeah, Leon's Gunblade was majorly difficult to dodge. It's a Huglantic energy blade that is charged out of a sword with a gun handle on it. YEah, weird, I know. I have yet to attempt this tourney solo, but I went back to do ythe Phil Cup time trial and beat it easily thanks to my massively awesome Pumpkinhead Keyblade. So yesterday and today I took down Neverland. THe hardest part of this level was facing the Heartless copy of Sora, the Antisora. He fights just like you do and splits himself into three parts to attack form all sides. I died twice trying to take him out. I realized the third time around that Thunder damage is VERY effective on him. After that battle, Captain Hook was a breeze. He's a good swordsman, but he's a pansy. BEat him in no time. I saved my game and then today I finished up Neverland and went back to Traverse Town. I got the Glide ability so now I can go back to the other worlds and get the extra items I couldn't before. ANyway, no one cares about all that.
On to the fun stuff!
I thought I'd give you all some cool links I discovered. A few came form my friend Sir Gregory, one came out of my wife's curiosity of a commercial, and the rest are jsut fun stuff I found on my own.
This is a SuperMario Parody of the Neo/Smith fight scene form The Matrix Reloaded. It is hit for hit, line for line the same as the movie, but with Mario and Luigi. It's hilar. (that's for you, leah.)
http://www.flashplayer.com/animation/supermarioreloaded.html
This one is a Tribute to Final Fantasy and features over 60 characters from FF1-FFX. Mostly from VII, VIII, IX, and X. It's very funny to anyone who has ever played or watched someone play any of these games. It's a song set to the chocobo theme. Be sure to check out all the pre-loader dialogue courtesy of 8-bittheather.com

THis is another Final Fantasy related clip. It is a 50's style educational video about random battle strategies. It focuses on Final Fantasy VII. It's very funny.

This one is a 50's style educational film about posting on a web forum. Warning, contains about four naughty words. It should be required viewing for any n00b on any forum if they don't wish to be eaten alive by the inhabitants therein.

This is a really cool website that Amy saw a commercial for called www.whatsyouraq.com What it is is a measurement of your adventure quotient. I'm a Passionate Investigative Pioneer, basically a thrill seeker. What are you? check it out...
THis is a great site to kill some time on. Full of as the name suggests addicting games.

Well that's about all I've got for you this time. Maybe if my life was more eventful, I could write something you cared about.

Labor Day and Boring Week.
SO the Labor Day Barbeque thing was really fun. I had the Geroge OFreman Grill runnig for around an hour straight making burgers and chicken. We had Watermelon, chips, pretzels, cake, and Fritos as well. We watched SOme Mr. Bill shoirts and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. FUn was had by all. THe rest of the week was rather...meh. One good thing, I got my computer off the floor and on a desk, finally! I got my printer hooked up as well, so now I can get busy making out my ministerial resume's and sending them all over the country. Everywhere from Boise, ID to Ocala, FL people are looking for children's pastors. There's even one in Kenosha, WI that is looking for a Children's Pastor's Assistant quoting a salary of $100K. I'm sure it's a typo, but the description fits me to a tee! Anyway, I got the printer hooked up, bought a USB cable for it, got some paper, and installed the sucker. I rented Kill Bill Vol. 2 this week making my viewing of Tarantino almost complete as I have only Jackie Brown to watch. It was awesome and even though she only killed one person in this one, it was jsut as cool as the first part. THe ending was amazing, yet a bit anti-climactic. Other than that and cutting my teeth on the Monstro level of Kingdom HEarts, not much has happened this week. Today, Amy and I heleped her parents move a bunch of stuf out of their garage andf into storage. Amy's brother had a bit of a caper this week, but I';m not sure whther or not I'm at liberty to talk about it. Let's just say it involves stupid friends, a hospital and him losing his keys. Well, I gotta go watch Timechasers before Greg comes and demand sit back form me before I can see it. I was goign to go to Blues Fest tonight, but Amy's Dad wasn't up to it and it wouldn't be the same without him there. So, yeah, no pub crawlin' for Dave. Sigh. Well, I'll probably have more news next week. Maybe. You'll just have to wait and see. All 4 of you who actually read this.

More Kingdom Hearts and Labor Day Fun On the Horizon!!
SO I've blasted my way through more Kingdom Hearts. This game is becoming more and more...EASY! I mean the way I meticulously level up, I guess it's no surprise, but I thought I would pee myself taking on Jafar in Agrabah. It was a releatively painless operation and I only used Aero once while stomping his red genie butt. Okay, so Donald cast Aero on me a few times, but still! It was Incredibly FRUSTRATING runnign around chasing Iago to bust that stupid lamp though! I mean DANG! YOu thought he was annoying int he movies! Try chasing him all around a room with moving platforms, swinging fruitlessly at the air as he squawks and flies where you can't reach him. It was very angering, but I beat the level. I have yet to continue on to Monstro, however. I opted to go back to Traverse TOwn first and unlock the Items shop wher eI can synthesize and get cooler items. I finally acheived the power of the Green Ladder Trinity Mark. As cool as having this ability is though, I have to say that when you perform the task, it looks completely homo-erotic. Goofy bends over, Donald hops on his back and then you hop on Donald. It looks like a Disney mantrain. I was like...Oh my snap...what is the name of all that is sacred and good is this?! But if doing the Disney mantrain is gonna get me some cool power-ups, i'll endure it. Does that make me gay? Seriously, though, who was the demented perv at Squaresoft who came up with this sequence? n/m. So, I will eventually get around to goignt o Monstro, after I level up a few more times. I finally figured out how to make the bad guys coem back. If you leave an area and go more than two rooms away, they return. So yay for that. I'm currently at Level 31 and won't leave Traverse TOwn until I hit 33 or higher. Yes, Greg, I have caught the Marcus Virus. FOr those who aren't Greg, the Marcus Virus is an RPG affliction named for our friend who would play FF9 for hours on end doing nothing but level up so that he vcould be at level 1,000 or soemthing and kill bosses with one hit. It's a good Idea though in Kingdom Hearts. Because there are so many stupid annoying bad guys who are easier to dispatch if you only have to hit them once. Plus they drop cool stuff you need to syntehsize, such as Frost shards and Gems. So, yeah, that's that.
Labor day is tomorrow!! I'm havin' a wicked cool party and everyone's imbited! Seriously though, there willbe burgers, BBQ chicken, and Monty Python. Maybe we'll even play a game of Scene It, if everyone's in the mood to be PWN3D by me once again!!! So there willbe an update regarding the details of that.
In sadder news, Jerry Rausin, the guy who taught the missions small group with his wife on Sundays at North Point passed away Friday morning. He had been battling pneumonia earlier this year and it drained his immune system. He got a staph infection on Wednesday and was taken to the hospital. He started to look like he was getting better but then declined and then passed away Friday morning. AMy and I didn't find out until this morning and Amy took it really hard. He had been talking wiht one of the other guys in the small group a few weeks ago at a picnic about holding Audrey when she came. Now he won't get to. But I comforted Amy and told he that he's holding her right now... The whole thing took me by surprise. I had no idea he was even sick. He was always so full of life and always smiling that it hit me pretty hard when I was told this morning. AMy couldn't even go to the funeral today, she was so upset. Plus the visitation was at 2 and the funeral at 3 and I had to be at work by 4. Had we gotten word sooner, maybe we would have felt more able to go to the funeral. Jerry was such a great guy and I hope that when the new church is build we at least dedicate the missions fund to him...
Aaahh I hate ending on a sad note, so...here's a website with kittens!! I'd post the pic here, but I suck at HTML.

Kingdom Hearts and College
So, last weekend, all my friends came back to college for another rousing year at CBC. One of them, greg, AKA the mastermind behind http://thenorthsea.blogdrive.com and http://autorock.blogdrive.com gave me two games I have been wanting for a long time. These being Kingdom HEarts and Final Fantasy VII. I shelved FF7 for the time being and dove into KH. In only a week, I have leveled up to 20, I locked Wonderland, and beat the tar out of Cloud and Cerberus in Olympia. My next challenge is the Deep Jungle, the home of Tarzan. For those whoa re wondering what the crap I'm talking about, Kingdom Hearts is a beautiful amalgamation of characters from Final Fantasy and Disney. The story is that a sinister group of individuals known as the Heartless are stealing people's hearts and they feed off of people's hatred and negative feelings. Only the wielder of the Keyblade can stop them and Donald and Goofy have coem along to help guide your character, Sora through the various worlds to stop the Heartless and lock up the different worlds and prevent the Heartless from returning. According to the strategy guide, the worlds you should go through are inthis order:
Destiny Island: This is the first place you start. Here's where you should get familiar witht he fighting style whihc is different from all the other Final Fantasy games. It's also where you get the Keyblade
Traverse Town: this is where you gear up and you coem back several times for supplies. It's also where you meet up with Goofy and Donald.
Wonderland: The Queen of Hearts has taken Alice prisoner for stelaing hearts, whihc she didn't do of course. You must find evidence and present it to the queen. Then she gets angry and you have to rescue Alice, but the HEartless take her nonetheless.
Olympia Stadium: Here you prove yourself worthy of being called a hero through smashing barrels to qualify for the preliminary tournament. In this tourney, you fight some easy Heartless creatures then face off against Cloud from FF7. then you must save Hercules from Cerberus, Hades' three headed demon-dog.
Deep Jungle: Here's where you meet tarzan, who can join your party if you switch out Goofy or donald (choose Goofy). Fight a tiger four times, find the gorrillas, battle against the egomaniacal Clayton, and lock the level. Lockinghtis level gives you a new keyblade called King of the Jungle
Agrabah: Alladin's hometown. Find Aladdin, go to the Cave of Wonders, Defeat Jafar anf the Genie, defeat Genie Jafar, lock Agrabah and get the Three Wishes key
Halloween Town: THe land of Jack Skellington. Find Sally, fight the pesky kids, fight oogie boogie, and his Manor, lock Halloween Town, get another Keyblade
Atlantica: The Little Mermaid's home. Find Kign triton, check out Ariel's grotto, ride a dolphin, fight Ursula first in normal siz ehten her Gigantor self. Get the Clabclaw for locking Atlantica
Monstro: Rescue Pinocchio and Geppetto fromthe whale, defeat the parasite cage.
Neverland: Save Wendy from Captain Hook, Reset clock tower to midnight, blah blah blah...
Hollow Bastion: Find The Beast, fight against your friend Riku who was seduced by the Heartless, fight Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, fight a Dragon, fight some other bad guys, lock Hollow Bastion.
YOu go back to Olypmia twice for more tournaments. If you win them all, you get another key.
THe last level is TheEnd of the WOrld. This is where all hell breaks loose and you fight a bunchof bad guys. I can't wait.
So as you see, I'm only about a fourth of the way through this game. I should have it beat soemtime this semester. It hasn't been too hard yet, though Cerberus almost wiped me out. That's where I stand now.
So, classes began yesterday and from the syllabi I received, I can see there may not be a whole lot of time for Kingdom Hearts... Oh well. Such is life. My schedule's kinda weird. I have a class at 7:25 and then no class until 12:25 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. THen I have class until 3:15 except on Fridays I have a break from 1:15 to 2:25. Tuesdays and thursdays, I have class from 8:25 to 9;30 then a break until 10:30 whihc is time for chapel, then class from 12:25 to 2:15. So there's a few spots here and there where I could play Kingdom Hearts, but not a whole lot. I coudl also use that time for studying, but...meh.

Job Frustration and New Game Fun!!!
So it's back-to-school week at CBC. Finally allthe people I missed over the summer are back for another dose of Bible College. My friend Greg AKA http://thenorthsea.blogdrive.com gave me two games that I ahve been dying for for a long time. He bought me Final Fantasy VII whihc is a belated, but still appreciated wedding gift. In addition, he got me Kingdom Hearts, the Disney/Final Fantasy crossover game just in time for the anniversary. I started on Kingdom Hearts today and got stomped by Darkside and it took about ten tries to beat Wakka. Selphie and Tidus were no problem though. Funny, the strategy guide said that Wakka would be the easiest. It got annoying because Wakka say's "Ha ha, I WIN!" when he beats you and his voice grates me. It's not as bad as Selphie's whining when she loses though. And of course, tidus, arrogant as ever just demurs that he needs to practice more. I tried taking them all on at once and got spanked. I gotta get better at dodging and jumping before I can get any further in the game. I got Sora up to a level 5 before having to quit for work.
Speakign of work, I'm really despising my job. Thursday, I had to deal with a customer that was given a wrong rate by my boss and was upset at me for it. Friday, my friend's mom checked in and was supposed to get a free night but my boss is stingy about giving free nights on weekends, so I had to go through a debacle with that. I gave her the free night. Last night, though, takes the cake. A couple had left their room and noticed that the door was not closing all the way. The guy said that he closed it and it locked but when the came back three hours later, the door was cracked open and their stuff was all gone. I called my boss and asked him what to do. He told me it was their fault and he couldn't do anything. At this point, they wanted to leave so I called my boss again and he talked withthe guy and proceeded to blame him for the room and made him resolute on never coming back every again. Chaz, my boss, finally agreed to give him 50% off for the night they weren't even staying in the hotel and then the guy hung up wiht him. I decided to make an executive decision in ethics and didn't charge them at all for last night. Chaz was ticked off for me doing this today and no amount of my explaining my ethical standpoint could get him to see it my way. He wanted to CHARGE THESE PEOPLE... FOR A NIGHT THEY WEREN'T STAYING ...AFTER GETTING ROBBED! I am sick of this guy's idiotic and money-centered style of running business. If I talked to customers liek that at any other job, I'd be fired. Any other hotel, if I refused to refund a person who had that happen, I'd be out a job. He runs this place like a nuthouse. Well, I gotta work. At least until Amy finds a decent job. I may jsut see if I can find a different job. We'll see. I'm calming down a bit now.

Reservations, Reservior Dogs, and the DMV
Note: This entry was supposed to have been published on August 8th, but due to technical difficulties ( i.e. I hit save draft, not publish) it is released today. Still, enjoy.
So Saturday night, we were pretty busy at the MicroHell Inn. So busy in fact that I had forgotten to keep checking the NetRez site that handles all of our online reservations. Basically, a lady had made a resrvation with the company while driving to our location that evening and I had not gotten a chance to check her reservation before we had booked out for the night. Well, okay, the truth is I forgot to check. So she was ticked off and I had to put her into a room that, though it was booked for the evening, the people had apparently left early. So now she was paranoid that someone was going to be trying to get back into her room inthe middle of the night. Did I mention this all happened at 11:00pm? So the room looked clean and empty, as if housekeeping had been in there. However, the people when they left had just made the bed and it was still dirty. So the lady was freaking out about that and went to wait inthe lobby, where I had been folding my laundry, so she freaked out again. I was so glad to go home that night. One thing I did enjoy about the evening was watching Reservoir Dogs on Bravo. Well, I saw the last half hour earlier that evening, followed by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas ( a great movie to make your kids watch if you want them to never do drugs), then saw the first 45 minutes or so of Reservior Dogs again before my shift ended. I love that movie. Absolutely love it. And now, I know without a doubt who shot Nice Guy Eddie. Want to know? I'll type it in black to avoid spoiling it for those who don't want to know. FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF!!! BUY RESERVIOR DOGS ON DVD!!! AND GET THE ONE WITH MR. PINK ON IT!!! There. I hope you're satisfied. Anyway, This is K-Billy with the Super Sounds of the Seventies. Up next is "Stuck in the Middle" by Stealer's Wheel. Heh, heh. THat's my FAVORITE SCENE!!! Yeah, i'm sick and twisted, but I love how well Michael Madsen played the sociopathic Mr. Blonde. So, I was called yesterday by my boss during church and he wanted to yell at me some more and try to sort out what had happened. Everything's fine now, though.
Ths morning, I finally decided to go get my license switched to Missouri. I had put it off because I thought it would be expensive, time-consuming, I'd have to take the written test again, and a bunch of other lame excuses. Also, I was basing the current experience on the experiences I had had at the Secretary of State office in Ann Arbor, Michigan <shudder>. But, when my insurance company had threatened to drop my policy if I didn't switch it, it motivated me somehow. So I got out of bed this morning and left the apartment at 10:00. I was back by 10:40. It was amazing! And twenty of those minutes were spent driving to and from the DMV!!! They called my number befor eI even plucked it from the ticket taker! All I had to do was give them my SSN, my current address, weight, do the eye test, and get my picture taken. It was so quick, I decided to register for voting and organ donation while I was at it. And the price was only $21 including a $1 donation to the organ donation fund. So, Mom, Dad, family, if you're reading this, I'm an organ donor. Hope you are happy with my decision. Thank you. And to top it off, I got my brand new license already! Befor eI left, I had a brand new card!! In Michigan, you wait in line for almost an hour, you have to retake the written test EVERYTIME YOU RENEW, it costs about $35 and they SEND you your license to you anywhere from two weeks to two months later!!! They give you this temporary POS in case you get pulled over during their due process. Stupid system. So I was overjoyed at the expediency of the Missouri system. Sure people may drive like idiots here but at least you don't have to wait so long to get out onto the road!
Today's fun fact: The term 'yahoo' was coined by Jonathan Swift in his novel Gulliver's Travels in describing the creatures which were a crude, primitive race that had allthe vices of humanity and were the slaves of the Houyhnehms, a race of intelligent horses that epitomizes the rational thought and virtues of mankind. Also the word "whinny" describing the sound a horse makes comes from the word Houynhehm. So the Internet community and equestrians alike should raise a glass to Swift for his additions to the modern English language.
